Play & Improve / Start Playing

Your first sessions on court.

Find a place, choose someone to play with and give the first visit a simple purpose.

New to tennis?

Ask a local facility about an introductory session or arrange an easy hit with someone willing to help you learn. Check what equipment is supplied and how the session is organized before booking.

You can use a shorter playing area or a slower ball when it makes the activity more manageable. Ask a coach to help select the setup. There is no need to understand every tennis term before you begin.

Coming back?

Start with your current circumstances: available time, company and a comfortable first session. Your previous level does not have to define the first day back.
